Our Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa – a true gentleman , uncomplaining and dignified to the end.  As the years push further into history, the events of 1939-1945, may those of us left behind never forget , or allow to be forgotten, how the young men of those times struggled, at so much personal cost, to preserve their world for us to enjoy it today.

You served your country in war time

You served your Legion in peacetime

You served your community in numerous ways

You served your family always

The consciousness of being loved softens the keenest pang; yes, even at the moment of parting; yes, even the eternal farewell is robbed of half its bitterness when uttered in accents that breathe love to the last sigh.

Hearts full of love go with you on your final , painless journey.

Our sincere thanks to all the staff at the Lion’s Head hospital and all staff at Golden Dawn Nursing Home for their care and compassion over the past several months.  A special thanks to Dr. Dave Thomson – for his kindness, devotion and guidance – it will be remembered always.
