Juanita was a cherished Aunt that I have been fortunate to have known for over 70 years. We celebrated countless Christmas gatherings between her hospitality and our home at Limberlost. I later enjoyed many curling games, with her and even participated in her work career at the Lions Head municipal office. Juanita was the very definition of the word "character" and was blessed by having her family close by for many years. As one of the last, in my family, of her generation, Bonnie and I will deeply miss her. Dennis & Bonnie McCutcheon.

To all Ashcroft family. Saddened to hear of your tremendous lose. I was finishing high school, when l needed a hand up. Mrs.Ashcroft was the first to step up to the plate l was given a warm bed,excellent meals, the best hospitality in canada.l will never forget the kindness l received. She was the most down to earth woman l had met for a long time.Best of all,,,she partied with us. Many excellent memories of the old days. RIP classy lady. You hold a special place in my heart

My condolences to the family of Juanita Ashcroft. Here are my memories from a long time ago. In the winter of 1971-72 Doug Ashcroft hired me to look after the feeder calves in two or three(?) of the Ashcroft barns. Doug was unwell at the time and I did the farm chores and other outside work around the farm. I stayed with the family during the week and Roy Thompson would come on Saturdays to help out with the two-man jobs. Lots of snow that year too! I remember Juanita as a real character, kind, and a good cook!

My deepest condolences to Juanita's family.
A few memories:
- we grew up in the same 1000 acre block, also with Charlie and Gertie
- for some time you lived across the road from my grand-parents
- you went to Centreville church with us in the early days and there were some
antics starring Juanita
- travelling on the same school bus
- pulling mustard plants with Morrie and Roy
- Juanita working in the township office helping me get my SIN card
- Juanita's technique for dusting off paperwork as described by Carol Anne
- meeting Doug on the Spry road when his barn was burning down
Lastly, having a chat with Juanita sitting by the curb in one of Scott's lawn chairs.

Thinking of all of you at this difficult time. Juanita was a hard working, fun loving lady who gave selflessly of herself to her family, friends and her community. I loved her sense of humour and her feisty attitude when we worked in functions together. She was amazing. Hugs to all!
