Obituary of Bunny Burr

BURR, Edith Yvonne 'Bunny' peacefully on April 13, 2025, Bunny Burr (nee Adams) passed away, at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia at the age of 93.

Loving mother of Patricia (late Brad) and Ken (Jan). Adored grandmother of Michelle (Jess), Susanne (John), Julie (Michael), Alysia, Bill (Rosie), Brandan (Janelle), Austin and Cory. Dear great-grandmother of Sara, Olivia, Aaron, James, Sophie, Van, Ellie, Melanie, Lydia and Nathan. Mother-in-law to Marion. Special grandmother to many. Predeceased by her husbands James Burr and Donald Hallam and son James Gordon.

Edith was born in Tobermory and moved to Sarnia at the age of 15. Edith met her first husband, James and raised her family in Sarnia. When she retired at 60, she moved back to Tobermory with her second husband, Donald and remained there until she was 80. Edith had a passion for music, which she enjoyed sharing with others. She played the organ at the Tobermory United church for 20 years and the piano every day at Vision Nursing Home.

The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent and compassionate care Edith received from the staff at Vision Nursing Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Tobermory United Church on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment Dunk's Bay Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  Expressions of remembrance to the Vision Nursing Home would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
