Obituary of Laverne Ceaser

CEASER, Laverne Vair surrounded by the love of her family at Victoria Hospital, London early January 2, 2026.  Laverne Ceaser (formerly Laverne George) of Wiarton in her 95th year.  Beloved wife of Elmer Ceaser and the late Percy George.  Cherished mother of Margaret Ann Howe (Ed) of Georgian Bluffs and the late Tim George and mother-in-law of Debby George (Tim Burt) of Wiarton.  Much loved grandmother of Carla Howe (Bob Pearson), Trina George, Heather Slater (Mike McKinnon) and Gatlin Burt (Terrilynn), great grandmother of Makayla (Will), Trey, Brooklyn (Tristan) and Lexus (Wyatt) and great great grandmother of Benson.

Forever remembered by Elmer's family Donnie Ceaser (Kate), Mary Louise Tanner (Richard), Cathy Addison (Murray), Colleen Sprung (Wayne) and Brian Ceaser (Tedra), 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  Sister-in-law of Dorothy Hoffman, Eunice Doubt-Moore, Lorne Ceaser, Rita Holm and Ron Ceaser (Adelle).

Predeceased by parents Edith (nee Meyer) and Aylmer Perrin Hopkins, brothers Max Hopkins (Lucille) and Don Hopkins (Elsie), brothers-in-law John Hoffman, John Doubt, Lloyd Moore and Mike Holm and sister-in-law Jacqueline Ceaser.

The funeral service will be conducted at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 2 hours prior to the service.  Spring interment Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton.  Expressions of remembrance to Wiarton Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
