Obituary of Nancy Scott

SCOTT, NancyNancy was born in Wiarton 65 years ago to parents Doris (Given) and Harry Lisk.  She spent 45 years of her life trying to teach, guide and keep her children Chris, Tammy (Ken) Brown and Jenny (Bill) Jones in line, as well as spending the last two decades departing great wisdom to her grandchildren Samantha, JD, Victoria, Karissa, Emma and Owen.  When once asked how she managed to do all this, she simply replied 'somebody has to do it.'  Even in her younger years she had her hands full trying to keep her younger siblings out of trouble; Ron (Belinda) Lisk, Cathy (Mac) Gibson and Karen (Larry) Thomas - although she did admit that sometimes she was unsuccessful in that effort.  Her teachings to be strong, determined and fight with all your strength until the very end also extended to her husband Ivan, Aunts Bev Given and Elda Given, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.A service to honour and celebrate Nancy's life will be held at St. John's United Church, Berford Street, Wiarton on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.  Spring interment Colpoy's Bay Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.  In lieu of flowers, donations made to Bruce Peninsula Hospice would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.  Condolences may be sent to the family through the link below. I would like to Send Condolences Back to Notices Home | History | Services | Our Facilities | Notices | Contact Us | Links
