Obituary of Stella Johnston

 JOHNSTON, Stella1926 - 2010Stella joined the Lord on April 6, 2010 in her 84th year. Her parents Henry and Verna, sons Bradley and Gordon and daughters Lizz and Veronica were there to greet her and accompany her to his side. Left with teachings and wonderful memories of a very special human being are her husband Gordon W. Johnston, children Karen (Bill), Judy, Owen (Jennifer), her extended family Merceline, Lana, Marlene, Marsha, Sylvia, Daphne, Larissa, Harmony and Amy. Also missing her are brothers Ron (Lila) and Peter (Mildred), sister Marie (Earl) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Stella has left behind a legacy of love, not only for her family and foster children but her community. All whose lives were touched by Stella are richer for the love she shared.Visitation will be held at the Maadookii Centre on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Interment Little Port Elgin Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maadookii Centre, St. Mary's Church Cape Croker or your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family.
