Obituary of Robert William Given

GIVEN, William Robert 'Bud'of Lion's Head passed away at Summit Place Nursing Home in Owen Sound on Monday, November 28, 2011 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Kathleen 'Kathy' Given (nee Robinson) for 58 years. Cherished father of Gail (Gord) Fulton of Peterborough, Beatrice (Dave) Miller of Owen Sound, Patrick (Sandra) Given of Owen Sound and Daniel (Lisa) Given of Australia. Special grandfather of Kris (Elaine) Wiltshire, Lace (Brent) Cole, Gordon Fulton, Patrick Miller, George Miller and Emily Given. He will be sadly missed by his brother Morgan Given of Mar and his sister Alice (Robert) Sear of Mar, sisters-in-law Carrie Given of Wiarton and Shirley Given of Wiarton, Kathleen's brothers and sisters as well as many nieces and nephews. Bud was predeceased by his parents Beatrice (Weir) and William Given and brothers Bert, Milton and Jim.Visitation will be held at the DAVIDSON CHAPEL, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a Legion Service at the Chapel on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Lion's Head Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
