Obituary of Betty Jones

JONES, Bettyof Owen Sound and formerly of Wiarton passed away peacefully at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound on Monday, December 20, 2010 in her 84th year. Cherished wife of the late W.H. Earl Jones who predeceased her in 1998. Beloved mother of Mary Heathers-Upshaw of Craigmyle, Alberta, Christine Heathers of Brampton, Paul and his wife Marg of Wiarton and Elaine and her husband Mike Kohler of Richmond Hill and step-mother of Shirley and her husband Bud Boyd of Salmon Arm, B.C., Thomas and his wife Cecile of Pickering and Jerry and his wife Debbie of Salmon Arm, B.C.. Special grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 13. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Lil Wickenden of England, Susan (George) Himann of Calgary, Alberta and Adela Angell of Owen Sound as well as her special friend Debbie Bartley. Betty was predeceased by her parents, her brother John and her sister Myrtle Swain.A memorial service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Gould Street, Wiarton on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Interment in Bayview Cemetery to follow. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Alzheimer Society or Wiarton Hospital would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
