Obituary of Bill Balls

BALLS, Billof Wiarton passed away at Gateway Haven Nursing Home on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in his 89th year. Cherished husband for over 65 years of Hilda (nee Thompson). Loving father of Brenda Moore of Sault Ste. Marie and Paul (Shelley) Balls of Owen Sound. Special grandfather of Sherri (Carmine) Carasolo of Sault Ste. Marie and Michael Moore of Wiarton, great grandfather of Jullian, Jaden, Joshua, Kirsten and Tyler and great great grandfather of Gabriel. He will be sadly missed by his sister Ada Beacock of Wiarton, brothers and sisters-in-law Mel (Mary Ellen) Thompson of Tobermory, Lorne (Patsy) Thompson of Lion's Head, Aus Thompson (Doreen Gilbert) of Wiarton, Tina Thompson of Kitchener and Pearl Buckland of Wiarton as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents Alma (Dewar) and Alfred Balls, brother Stewart, son-in-law David Moore and brothers and sisters-in-law Katie Balls, Ralph Beacock, Les Thompson, Lloyd Buckland and Marj Thompson.Visitation will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Spring interment Colpoy's Bay Cemetery.
