Obituary of Carl Dickie

 DICKIE, Carlof Owen Sound and formerly of Hope Bay passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in his 93rd year.  Cherished husband of the former Edith Porter for 69 years.  Loving father of Richard (Jacoba) of Calgary, Caroline (Doug) Leitch of Sutton, Jack (Karen) of Cookstown and Steven (Janet) of Wiarton.  Special grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 7.  He will be sadly missed by his sister Aleta (Emerson) Fowlie of Ohio.  Carl was predeceased by his parents Ruby (Wilson) and John Dickie, brother Ira and sisters Clara and Mabel.Carl was a very proud veteran of WWII and served for 27 years in the Canadian Air Force at various posts across the Province of Ontario.Family and friends are invited to share their memories at the DAVIDSON CHAPEL, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service to celebrate Carl's life will be held at the Lion's Head United Church on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
