Obituary of Florence Yendt

YENDT, FlorenceOn November 2, 2010; 91 years young Florence Hannah Yendt surrounded by her family said her final 'SEE YOU LATER' to her family at Hampton Court Retirement Residence, 49 Albert Street, Southampton, Ontario, Canada.  A loving memorial in Flo's honour will be held on November 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hampton Court, Southampton, Ontario, Canada.  Flo was the Loving Mother of son Bill Yendt of Tupelo, Mississippi.  Grandmother of Kimberly June Gallagher and great grandmother of Jason, James and Joey Gallagher all of Calhoun, Illinois.  Grandmother of Lori Kuhl and great grandmother of Seth Kuhl of Effingham, Illinois.  She will also be sadly missed by her daughter Lois Grothe of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.  Florence was predeceased by her husband Lorne George Yendt, sister Christina Hannah and brother James Hannah.Flo went to live at Hampton Court over eight years ago from Wiarton, Ontario, Canada.  She and Lorne resided in St. Catharines after retirement.  Flo was known as the clown around Hampton Court for her quick witted tongue.  She had a smile for everyone followed by a few words of advice.  Sundays were favourite days for Flo as she waited to talk with her son and daughter-in-law Gayle to get caught up on what her kids were doing.  She never wanted ice cream but you always ordered two spoons and the chips were always good for a smack of her lips along with her saying yum yum!  She never accepted taking any medicine and put up a fuss, stuck out her tongue, but smiled at them as they left her room.  All those things and many more made Flo so special to many.
