Obituary of Hans Heidolph

HEIDOLPH, Hansof Wiarton, Ontario died peacefully on October 18, 2010 after a long battle with diabetes.  He was born on Sunday, May 8, 1927 in Schwabach, Germany and graduated from Munich Institute of Technology (MIT).  Beloved husband of Marietta for 53 years (who was always by his side); father of Christina, Karin (Thomas Bremner) and Vera; and proud Opa (grandfather) of Gavin, Alexandra, Tommy and Kevin.  He also will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Dr. Rudolf Zinsser of Germany, niece Deborah Zinsser-Krys of Germany and special family friend Carey Gurney of Meaford.  Hans was predeceased by his parents and his sister Ilse Zinsser.Hans Heidolph was a trail blazing professional engineer who at the age of 27 emigrated from Germany to build and operate the manufacturing plant of Caframo in Wiarton.  The company employed many local residents and was highly successful for 42 years under his leadership.  He was also a partner in Heidolph Elektro Co. in Kelheim, Germany with his sister Ilse, and her husband Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Zinsser.  Hans was also a proud member of the Rotary Club, the German Canadian Engineers Club, the CTA and the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen's Association.  He was a superb athlete and his humour will be sorely missed.  'Til we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.The funeral to celebrate Hans' life will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment Oxenden Cemetery.  Donations made to the Wiarton Hospital or Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.  Condolences may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.comI would like to Send Condolences Back to Notices Home | History | Services | Our Facilities | Notices | Contact Us | Links
