MILLER/SHEPPARD, Edna Dorothy WWII VeteranPeacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home Wiarton, Edna Dorothy (nee Adams) Miller on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late Percy and Pearl (Smith) Adams of Tobermory. Beloved wife of the late Harold Herbert Sheppard (1970) and the late Robert Orley Miller (2001). Loving mother of Dale Sheppard (Cathy) of Niagara Falls, Tim Sheppard (Nadine) of Niagara Falls, Diane Sheppard (Alf Merrill) of Owen Sound and Cindy Sheppard (Clint) of Vancouver. Dear stepmother of Lance Sheppard (Linda) of Elgin. Cherished grandmother to Eric, Jen, Darryl, Chris and Jeff and great grandmother to Hailey, Troy and Owen. Edna is survived by sisters Marold Bartley (Clarence) of Stokes Bay and Bunny Burr (Don Hallam) of Tobermory, brothers Lloyd Adams (Vi) of Tobermory, Cleve Adams (Jean) of Tobermory and David Adams (Jean) of Sault Ste. Marie, sister-in-law Bettie Adams of Tobermory and Lorne Hepburn of Wiarton (partner of Pat Durance). Edna was predeceased by brothers Tom, Ray and Sonny and sisters Kathleen McNair and Pat Durance.In respect of Edna's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Interment of ashes in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.
