Obituary of Rod Ward

WARD, Roderickof Oliphant passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in his 79th year. Loving father of Brad of Oliphant and Sharon Edwards and her husband Desmond of Chapleau. Dear father-in-law of Lu-Ann Ward of Windsor and Leonard Robinson of Windsor. Cherished grandfather of Danielle Ward and Amanda Robinson; special step-grandfather of Joseph (Wendy) Lasorda and great grandfather of Joseph Michael and Nathan Andrew. Rod will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Marvin (Beverley) Bellaire of Windsor and sister-in-law Joanne Heidi of Calgary. Rod was predeceased by his wife Violet, daughter Kim Robinson and his parents.The family will receive friends at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to Bruce Peninsula Hospice would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
