Obituary of Elgin Pruder

 PRUDER, Elgin Percivalof Southampton, New York; Palm Beach, Florida and Wiarton, Ontario passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Southampton Hospital, New York after battling a long illness at the age of 82 years. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on August 21st 1927, he was a graduate of the University of Michigan of the class of 1957. He served active duty US Navy 3 years and followed by 20 years in Navy and Army Reserves attained to rank of Lt. Commander. Long and distinguished national and international career as an architect/civil engineer at General Motors Corp and the Ford Motor Company. He served several years with the Environmental Protection Agency and FEMA. Elgin will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Elinor Dee Pruder, his children Kristen Venadam, Kimberly Dixon and Mark Pruder as well as his seven grandchildren, his brother Dr. Gary (Barbara) Pruder of Hawaii, sister Eileen (Dr. Ronald) Dehnke of Indiana and his extended family and friends. Elgin was predeceased by his parents Esther (Baird) and Percy Pruder and his first wife Marilyn Ann (Rapson) Pruder.There will be a time of remembrance for Elgin at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Elgin's life will be held at Colpoy's Bay Cemetery on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating.
