Obituary of Bernice Harrison

HARRISON, Berniceof Wiarton passed peacefully away with her family by her side on Monday, May 4, 2009 in her 92nd year. Cherished mother of Susan and her husband Don McCallum of Wiarton and step-mother of Ted and his wife Gail Harrison of Twinsburg, Ohio. Special grandmother of Bjorn and Dane McCallum and step-grandmother of Greg, Lindy, Lee, Barbara, Susan, Sharon and Kathy Harrison as well as several great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her brother Elgin Ferguson of Meaford and sister-in-law Shirley Ferguson of Wiarton. Bernice was predeceased by her first husband Charles Tyson (1944), second husband Gladstone Harrison (1998), infant son Charles, parents Mary (Fenn) and Alfred Ferguson, brothers Harold and Wilfred, sisters-in-law Ruth Ferguson and Eileen Ferguson and step-son Bill Harrison.Bernice's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Bernice's life will be held at St. John's United Church on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Interment Bayview Cemetery. Donations made to St. John's United Church, Friends of Gateway or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
