Obituary of Alvin Travis

TRAVIS, Alvin (Al)of Wiarton passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in his 80th year. Cherished husband of the late Marg (Boyd) Travis who predeceased him in 2006. Beloved father of Shane of Alberta, Allan of Port Elgin, Margaret Anne (Margie) and her husband Darrell Hutchinson of Toronto and Charlie of Alberta. Al will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, brothers-in-law Gerald Boyd and Weston (Lillian) Boyd, both of Newfoundland, daughter-in-law Dianne Travis, several nieces and nephews and his special friend Connie Emmerson. Al was predeceased by his parents, brother Bud (Jo) McGinn, sister Peg (Percy) Ellis and sister-in-law Jean Boyd.Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Al's wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.
