Obituary of Peter Smeijers

SMEIJERS, Peterof Wiarton passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, March 5, 2009 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Donna and cherished father of Rachel Smeijers of Toronto and Tim Smeijers and his wife Terri Nixon of Wiarton. Special Grandfather of Gatlin Smeijers (Piper Morley) of Kingston. He will be sadly missed by his sister Tine (Jan) Wolfs of Burlington and sisters-in-law Toos Smeijers, Cora Smeijers and Nellie Smeijers of Holland. Peter was predeceased by his parents, brothers Harry, Louis, Wim and Frans and sisters Riek, Leide and Louise.Visitation will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 1:00 pm until the time of the service to celebrate Peter's life at 2:00 pm. Cremation to follow with interment in Oxenden Cemetery. Donations made to the Wiarton Hospital or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
