Obituary of Jack Nightingale
NIGHTINGALE, Jackof Lion's Head, a long time former resident of Hope Bay, was called home on Monday, February 2, 2009 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Patricia (Herd) Nightingale who predeceased him in 2004. Dear father of Jayne (Nick) Paradiso of Brampton, Glen (Debbie) of Surrey, B.C. and Lynda (Robert) Michelucci of Guelph. Special grandfather of Jessica (Steve) Hallwood, Michael, Julie (Andrew) Turnbull, David, Laura, Robert, Jason and Lisa and great grandfather of Gioia and Rebekah Hallwood and Judah and Abigail Turnbull. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Mabel Smith of Burlington. Jack was predeceased by his parents and sisters Thelma Bowman and Florence Clarke. Prior to his move to Lion's Head, Jack was very active with Trinity Anglican Church in Wiarton acting as Treasurer as well as lending his carpentry talents to assist with building maintenance.In respect of Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Jack's life at Christ Church Anglican, Lion's Head on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
