Obituary of Norman McIver

McIVER, Normanof Lion's Head passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2009 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Marjorie and dear father of Allan (Donna) and Rodger (Cathy) both of Brantford, Linda (Gordon) Edwards of Chatsworth and Lee-Anne (Jim) Detlor of Kitchener. Special grandpa to Marsha, Cindy, Michelle, Brad, Tyler and Dana and great grandpa to Nicholas, Marcus, Jayden and Kyle. He will be sadly missed by his sister Jessie Hodder of Mississauga and brothers-in-law Ivan (Kate) Mielhausen, Clayton (Goldie) Mielhausen, Murray (Barb) Mielhausen and George Griffiths as well as many nieces and nephews. Norman was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth (Spears) and Donald McIver, his brother Donald, sisters Mary Griffiths and Christina Billadeau and brothers-in-law Austin Hodder and Arnold Mielhausen.Family and friends are invited to share their memories at the Bethel Missionary Church, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head on Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Norman's life will be held at the Church on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with his niece Rev. Norma McLeod officiating. Spring interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton.
