Obituary of Nellie Maude Steip

MAUDE NELLIE STEIP (nee BELLMORE)Peacefully, at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, MB on Monday, March 5, 2007 at the age of 101.Lovingly remembered by Son Frank, Granddaughter Cathy Omeniuk (Dean), Grandson Donnie (Joanne), Great Grandchildren Caitlin, Derrick and Clinton Omeniuk as well as Hannah Steip.Predeceased by her husband Donald, son Gordon, daughter in law Patricia, seven sisters and one brother.Maude was born at Pike Bay, Ontario and spent most of her life in Wiarton, Ontario before moving to Winnipeg to be close to her family. She was a proud and active member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was blessed with a wonderful sharp memory and was a solid reference for past happenings in her family. Her guidance and sage advice will be greatly missed. The family wishes to extend its sincere heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their care during the past few weeks.There will be a memorial service to celebrate Maude's life at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. There will also be a Rebekah Lodge service immediately prior to the memorial service.
