Obituary of Cecil Watson

WATSON, Cecilof Wiarton passed away, surrounded by his family, on Monday, December 25, 2006 at Wiarton Hospital in his 87th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Betty for 49 years and cherished father of Sherron Beaton of Edmonton (Archie Beaton of Nova Scotia), Claire Watson (Eunice Brown) of Edmonton, Dawn (Leigh) Dickert of Hamilton, Wanda (Bob) Porter of Francis Lake, Jo-Anne (Norm) Schopf of Edmonton, Larry (Cathy) Parcher of Lindell Beach, B.C., Caroline (Carl) McDougall of Bognor, Cecile (Dave) Mallard of Oxenden, Arthur Watson of Wiarton and Mellissa Watson (Jeremy McDowell) of Owen Sound. He will be sadly missed by 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, sisters Violet (Merrill) Leighton, Grace Watson and Christina (Cameron) Doan as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cecil was predeceased by his parents Martha (Hodge) and Arthur Watson, 8 brothers and 3 sisters.The family will receive friends at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Cecil's life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brent Beaton officiating. Interment Dunk's Bay Cemetery. Donations made to Community Living would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
