Obituary of Doug Forler

FORLER, Dougof Wiarton passed away peacefully at Gateway Haven on Thursday, October 19th, 2006 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of June and cherished father of Scott and his wife Jan of Wheaton, Illinois and Kim Efthimakisof Guelph. Grandpa will be missed by Miranda, Alexandra, Rob and Alisha. Doug was predeceased by his parents Myrtle (Betzner) and Harry Forler and two brothers.Doug worked for many years at Hostess Foods in Cambridge, Ontario. He enjoyed many memorable years at the family cottage at Hope Bay.The family will receive friends at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Doug's life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Wiarton Hospital or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
