KEESHIG, Georgeof Cape Croker Reserve passed away peacefully, in the comfort of his daughter's home and surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 in his 97th year. He will be sadly missed by ten children, Joseph (Kathleen) DesJardine of London, Michael (Nadine) Desjardine of Cape Croker, Barney (Mary-Ann) of Cape Croker, George Jr. (Sheila) of Cape Croker, Christine of Cape Croker, Vera (Vaughn) Whiteye, David of Cape Croker, Charles (Angie Ashkewe) of Cape Croker, Janice (Steve) Doxtador of Oshweken and Robert of Cape Croker. Cherished grandfather of 24 grandchildren, Joseph (Dawn) of London, Peter (Jennifer) of London, Shine (Kevin) of Tara, Michelle (Bucky) of Cape Croker, Katie of Cape Croker, Anna of Cape Croker, Vanessa of Cape Croker, Kristopher (Meredith) of Kemble, Paul of Cape Croker, Wesley of Cape Croker, Katrina of Ottawa, Meghan (James Waddilove) of London, Alexandria (Harold Marquez) of Mississauga, Jaime Ann of Moraviantown, Kami May of London, Cecily of Cape Croker, Caleb of Cape Croker, Alicyn of Cape Croker, Charles of Cape Croker, Michael of Cape Croker, Wesley of Oshweken, Amanda Grace (Jack) of Oshweken, Martin of Cape Croker and Dustin (Kathy Jones) of Cape Croker. He will be sadly missed by 16 great-granchildren Ryan, Lexi, Jolie Bay, Aubrey Laine, Kyanna, Cyrus, Jasmine, Eddie, Kashias, Gabriell, Ashton, Kain, Preston, Mason, Kamryn, Lance, Jack Jr. and Brittany. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, comrades and friends.George was a veteran of the WWII being a gunner of the Royal Canadian Artillery, 2nd Division. He is predeceased by his wife Alexandria Marie, his parents WWI veteran John Wesley and Christine Lamondiere, his brothers WWI veterans Barney, Sylvester, Gregor and his sister Virginia Akiwenzie.There will be a private family gathering on Thursday, April 6th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Cape Croker Community Centre. The family will receive friends at the Community Centre from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of christian burial will be held at St. Mary's Church on Friday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. with Father Steve Lacroix officiating. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.As expressions of sympathy, donations to the George and Alexandria Education Scholarship Fund or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
