Obituary of Verniece Mackie

 Verniece Mackiepeacefully with family by her side at Golden Dawn Nursing Home Lion's Head Sunday, April 6, 2014.  Verniece Mackie (nee McCutcheon) in her 98th year.  Cherished wife of the late Arthur Mackie (1989).  Loving mother of Gwenda and her husband Jim Cunningham of Owen Sound and mother-in-law  of Joanne Mackie and her partner Nelson Lyons of Lion's Head.  Special grandmother of Marty (Lisa), Marsha (Bobby), Trevor (Ashlee), Tyler (Sarah) and Trina (Mike) and great grandmother of Angel, Pauline, Tyson, Teagan, Autumn, Adelia, Maggie, Travis and Karlee.  Loved sister of Audrey and her husband Jack Tyndall of Lion's Head.  Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her son Murray (1970) and sisters and brothers Ruby, Lena, Gordon and Melvin.  Friends may call at the BETHEL MISSIONARY CHURCH,  18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday  at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Gerald DeWit officiating.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head.  Expressions of remembrance to the Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Association would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through the link below.
