Obituary of Nadia Lebert

 Nadia Lebertsuddenly at her residence in Lion's Head Sunday evening January 5, 2014.  Nadia Lebert (nee Gagnier) in her 94th year.  Cherished wife of the late Aurele Lebert for 66 years.  Loving mother of Laurent of Toronto, Lucille and her husband Jace Weir of Tobermory, Phyllis Lebert of Dundas, Pauline Lebert of Hamilton, Jerome and his wife Sharon of Wyoming, Vincent and his wife Ann of Pickering and Celeste and her husband Dave Lick of Kelowna, B.C.  Loved grandmother of Angela and Carly Weir, Derek, Julie and Jenna Lebert and Amber and Taylor Lick and great grandmother of Reese Lebert.  Nadia was born a triplet on August 27, 1920 along with her sister Elodia and brother Lucien to parents Alfred Telesphore and Rose Alma Gagnier.  She is predeceased by sisters Aldea, Lauda, Blanche and Elodia and brothers Alphonse, Alfred, Lucien and Georges.Nadia and Aurele lived much of their lives in Lambton County where they farmed and raised their family.  Later they retired to Miller Lake where Nadia delighted in the natural wonders of the Bruce and the flowers in her garden.  Nadia and Aurele spent 12 years in Elliot Lake before returning to the Bruce Peninsula in 2004.  Nadia was a dedicated member of St. Mark's Parish in Lion's Head.  She especially enjoyed meeting her card playing friends at the Friendship Club and at Lads and Lassies of which she was a founding member.Special thanks to Dr. Harpur and his team of physicians, nurses and caregivers who gave exceptional care to both Nadia and Aurele during their years on the Bruce and to all her friends who assisted her in so many ways.Funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Lion's Head on Friday January 10th at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 2 hours prior to service.  Father James McSharry officiating.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head.  Visitation will also be held at Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 4059 Petrolia Line, Petrolia on Sunday January 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Parish prayers at 4 p.m. Funeral mass will be conducted from St. Phillip's Roman Catholic Church Petrolia Monday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wyoming.  Expressions of remembrance to Lion's Head Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence are welcome through the link below.  I would like to Send Condolences Back to Notices Home | History | Services | Our Facilities | Notices | Contact Us | Links
