Obituary of Casey Burgler

Casey Burgler of Wiarton and formerly of Orangeville in Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia on July 20, 2015 in his 68th year. Suddenly while enjoying life to the fullest in his Tilley hat with his loving wife and eternal friend Sherry Burgler (nee Adair) by his side. In one of his favourite places, our Dad passed away. We know his last day was exactly as planned, walking on the East coast, enjoying a shore lunch and watching for whales in the rain. Loved by his daughters Kerry Dowdall and her husband Troy of Stayner and Amberley Taylor and her husband Adam of Blind River (children of Kathy). Also loved by his step-children Tracey Scott and her partner Mike Breen of Waterloo and Rob Scott of Waterloo. Dad was lucky to have you in his life these last years. Fun and loving grandfather to Gabriel, Jacob and Benjamin Dowdall and Cadence and Carter Taylor. Cherished son of Janna and the late Wicher Burgler of Listowel. Dear brother of Harmke Holman, Tina Donkersgoed (Klaas), John Davidson (Karen), Hank Burgler (Irene), Rita Donkersgoed (John), Harry Burgler (Louise), Cathy Raben (Jake) and Helen Aguiar (Delio) and brother-in-law of Joan Burgler . Predeceased by brothers Charlie and Tony. Dad will be missed by all of our extended family which includes so many that loved him not limited to his many amazing nieces, nephews and cousins. Forever remembered by his great co-workers at Sparlings Propane who appreciated how hard he worked as well as his many friends, including long-time buddy Ron Carter. Casey, Dad, Grandpa and Papa Casey to some; 1947-2015 it’s the dash between the years that matter. You may be gone from our sight but you are never gone from our hearts.
