Obituary of George Lawrence Langridge

Peacefully at Golden Dawn Nursing Home, Lion's Head early Monday morning August 24, 2015. George 'Jerry' Langridge formerly of Tobermory and Providence Bay in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Elsie 'Lisa' Langridge (nee Morris). Cherished father of Melanie Archer and her husband Keith of B.C., Lisa Shulz and her husband Frank of B.C., Tim Langridge and his partner Marjorie of Wiarton and step-father of Stephen (Kay) Fitzpatrick of Kitchener and Annie (Dave) Blake of Saskatchewan. Loved by 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren. Dear brother of Kay Hovdebo and her husband Stan of Saskatchewan and Mike Langridge and his wife Marjorie of Newfoundland and brother-in-law of Kathleen and Denis Cummins of Tobermory and Les and Sylvia Morris of Bobcaygen. Predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Sturgess) (pre 1992) and sister Dorothy Fletcher. The funeral tribute service to honour Jerry's life will be held at St. Edmund's Anglican Church, Tobermory on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment at Providence Bay Cemetery, Manitoulin Island. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head.
