Edith, Ken & Ruth-Anne and family;
So sorry to here of your Dad's passing. It don't rain but it pours, ay Ruth-Anne.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
Your Dad was at the top of my bucket list to visit, but I just couldn't be in two places a once. I'm sure you will understand.
Merv Waugh has been an inspiration for me from an early age. His work ethic, ingenuity, creativity and positiveness around me left a lasting impression. It is always a pleasure to visit and buy small engine parts, learn from his instruction and stories we shared. He never ran out of time for me. I'm sure he suffered your mother's wrath, more than once, after I would "finally" decide to go home to either let him finish his work and/or go in to bed.
My thoughts & prayers are with everyone in your family as you mourn his loss.
Respectfully; Jim Cunningham

Ken & Ruth-Anne, it is always a pleasure & treat for Dad (when he was still with us), Keith, Brent, Kyle & myself to go up to the farm to talk about saws but just the friendship of Merv & yourself Ken. The stories we either shared or listened to, Merv & Dad heading off into the barn to chat, memories that I'll never forget. Merv always had a smile & a joke & will be surely missed by all. All our prayers & thoughts are w/ you all.

From the time I first knew Carl more than forty years ago, he spoke of Merv with great fondness and respect, mentioning many times Merv's instinct for machinery, his gentle spirit, and his creative abilities. We were glad of the chance to speak with Merv a few years ago at a family gathering. May you be comforted by good memories and the knowledge of this fine man's contributions to his world.

Ken & Ruth Anne & Families & Family of Mervyn Waugh-
Sorry to hear of Dad's passing. He was a true icon among men.
I'm sure you will miss his vast knowledge of just about everything and everybody, as well as his never ending excellent advice on any subject.
You folks were blessed to have Dad in your midst and involved in your lives for so many glorious years. I am sure you learned so much from him that you could never have learned from books! We are happy to have known him for so many years through our various interactions and business with him. When your Dad and I (Vicki) met occasionally for business, we talked 25% about business and 75% about people, places & things. His laugh was unique and infectious - he could make me laugh without uttering a word - just by his "Merv chuckle". He was such a learned, fair and interesting man, and experienced so many different eras in life! Jim respected and looked forward to his advice around the saw mill. As you gather in remembrance and celebration of his life, take time to laugh, cry, reminisce and just talk about him. It will be therapeutic. I can only imagine some of the humorous stories of yesteryear! God Bless all of you with strength and comfort during your bereavement and beyond. Vicki and Jim Doubt. Sept 28/15
