For many years Barbara was our gracious host and kind friend.
She was funny and nice, and we will miss her sorely, as will our children and grandchildren.
Warren, You and your wife have been really nice and our hearts go out to you and your brothers.
Barb was vital and too young to leave us, and she loved her kids and grandkids so much.
We will be thinking of you.

Our Tobermory Tromper hiking group started staying with Barb in 1984. Over the next almost thirty years we returned many times to Lion's Head and Barb always greeted us like old friends. The pictures I posted were taken during our last stay at the Beach Motel in 2013. At that time she joined us in a group shot and then took one of our whole group. In this world of impersonal franchises and corporate chains it was always a treat to stay in a well-managed family owned and operated motel. She was a great gal and we will miss her.

Can not guess at the number of times I stayed at the motel in the 20 plus years working with the telephone company, always a smile, warm welcome and a chat with Barbara. The Beach Motel was home for many of us while working in the Lions Head area and it is hard to imagine the office without Barbara.
Warren, Deb and family your mum always had time to ask about our family and to provide an update on your families, our thoughts are with all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Barb.I worked for her many years ago and not only was she a great boss but also a beautiful woman.We always had a little chat when i use to meet her out on my walk with her little dog and was always so pleasant to talk to.The village of Lions Head has lost a great woman.May you rest in peace Barb and know God has chosen this special angel to reside in his garden called heaven.Wonderful lady.
