I would like to send our prayers and sympathy in the passing of your Mother Delena. My sisters and myself remember her from church and from the store. My sister Anna Jane Wright (Mason) remembers when she was about 15 years of age working in the store selling the candy, she worked weekends and holidays. She remembers going to your house across from the school for choir practices. The things I remember most is from the United Church and her leading the choir and I was only in the choir the one year, I couldn't really sing but did enjoy the time I spent that year. We made navy skirts and red tops in Mrs. Nixon sewing class to wear. Your Mother was a very lovely LADY and I don't remember her ever saying anything mean to anyone. Time goes on and we will remember all the good times we had with the people from our pass.

Dear Mary, Ted and family, Please accept my sincere condolence in the passing of your mom. She was truly a delightful person, and her and your dad contributed so much to our wonderful community. Regretfully my aunt passed away and her memorial is the same time as your mom's and therfore I am not certain if I will be able to attend to pay my respects. I will do my best. If I am not able to make it, please know my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and a special hug to Laura for me please. Our thoughts and prayers are with you from Florida. We have so many great memories of your mom it would take pages to list them all. My first few years in Wiarton were so special because of the times and outings I did with Delena, The Bible studies, the concerts at the United Church, lunches and dinners we shared at special restaurants. So many cups of tea at her home and all the encouraging words she always gave me. You have lost a wonderful mom, a wonderful friend that I will never ever forget because of her love to me .
