Obituary of Pearl May Buckland

Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Wiarton early Sunday morning March 27, 2016. Pearl Buckland (nee Thompson) of Wiarton in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Buckland (2005). Cherished mother of Helen and the late Brian Manery of Wiarton, Shirley and the late Ken Woods of St. Mary's, Sharon and her husband Gordon Smith of Wiarton, Sheila and her husband Stan McNeil of Georgian Bluffs and Wayne and his wife Susan of Georgian Bluffs. Loved by grandchildren Christa (Pat), Scott (Lisa), Wendy (John), Teresa, Michael (Taryn) and Katie (Carlos) and great grandchildren Carter, Madelyn, Keith, Aidan, Jesse, Jadin and Baylor. Dear sister of Austin Thompson (Doreen Gilbert) and Hilda Balls of Wiarton and sister-in-law of Mary Ellen Thompson of Tobermory, Tina Thompson of Kitchener and Patsy Thompson of Lion's Head. Predeceased by brothers Leslie, Lorne and Melvin and sisters Alice Brady, Cora Howe and infant sister Wanda. Friends may call at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Wiarton Legion Branch 208 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a service at 6:45 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Interment Bayview Cemetery. Expressions of remembrance to the Wiarton Legion Ladies Auxiliary or the Wiarton Hospital would be appreciated.
