A wonderful spirit I will always have a picture of her gardening in Shanty Bay. She graced our grand daughters birthday party as well as our grandsons. My sincere sympathy is extended to the entire family. I was deeply saddened by the new's of Aunt Clara's passing. She will always be so fondly remembered by anyone who knew her. That smile .. her laugh .. her wit and I was always amazed by her memory .. always remembered everyone's name and who they belonged to. I know she left some very happy memory's for Susan's family. I have known Claire my whole life. I remember visiting her at her antique store when I was little, which, if you can believe was where the Future Shop is now on Bayfield St. in Barrie. She was fun - always had the trunk of her car ready for anything whether it was rubber boots for morel picking or heels for dinner. Whenever she needed anything, she just ran out to her trunk. She has always attended our family events. She danced the night away at my wedding. She was there when my Dad died. And she had lunch with us just a few weeks ago to celebrate my Mom's birthday. She is the reason my daughter, Ally has two middle names (Alicia Pauline Claire). And even though I didn't see her all that often unless my Grandmother, Sandra, was visiting from Mexico, it was a blast to see her a few times a year. My deepest condolences to her son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by us all! - Sandra, Rob, Jake and Ally Castelijn, Tottenham, ON

A dear and close friend of my grandmother Sandra, Claire became an important fixture to my entire family. She attended all of our family events; both celebrations and tough times. She was a remarkable lady, who always put others first and had a wonderful sense of humour. As my sister Sandra fondly remembers, we always laughed with Claire about her carrying items in the trunk of her car. She was always prepared for everything. Claire will be fondly remembered, and will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to her family.

My deepest sympathy! Claire was the most wonderful and caring person I have ever met!!!
I am so saddened that she is not with us! She loved her Grandchildren more than anything in the world! Not once when she came here did I not hear a story about one of them!
Claire was like a Mother to me! If I needed her she would always be here asap!
She was here so fast when my husband passed away last October!
I hope she is having a few drinks with Al right now and they are having one of their silly conversations that they always got in to! Maybe politics, hockey, mechanics, whatever got them going!
They had so much fun doing that! She was here a few weeks ago arguing with my TV about a political news cast! I just sat here and laughed, she made me laugh all the time!
I will miss you so much Claire, you have no idea! Take care of Al for me! I will love you both forever <3
