To the Hellyer Family;
With a heavy heart and many fond memories, I offer my deepest condolences on the passing of this gentleman.
Words can not express the comfort and reassurances Walter gave me personally as my family struggled with Verniece's and Gwen's illness' at the same time. He had travelled the same road before me and he shared many private emotions, feelings and words of advise and comfort to me as he opened his apartment and offered a spare bed to me on many a evening. It was such a blessing and privilege to have been a small part of your fathers life.
My prayers of comfort go out to you all as you mourn the passing of your father.
A great man, that was privilege to have known.

What a wonderful man Walter was. We have many fond memories of Walter driving the Tobermory school bus. Stopping to chase cows back into a farmer's field. Stopping for snacks at the Miller Lake store. Sending someone in to get the kid who was trying to miss the bus. We will miss his smile. Your Mom will be happy to have him with her. Boy, it would take a whole town to fill Walter's shoes. He had characteristics we all strive for. Who didn't break out in a smile when they saw Walter?
