Dear Pam,.Rosemary and Allison and families;
Thinking of you all at this time,10.41 a.m. on Monday. What a great, long life Don had! How very fortunate to have had him with you for these many years--so much for which to be thankful! Always a smile on his face- a joy to behold! I love the poem he chose--a treasure to be sure. May God Bless you all as you adjust to your great loss. I am sure the move Don and Pam made was a good one.--We who have family can be thankful that you are there for us- As we age , so many of our friends have gone on ahead or are unable to be with us due to health or mobility problems--so we are so thankful for our children who understand and share our loss.
The flowers on the altar at St.David's were beautiful--it was so nice to be joined together by such an offering.
With my sympathy and Love, Beryl Martin

When I think of Don, I hear his chuckle & see the twinkle in his eye!
He was always not only interesting but interested.
Above all he was kind.
His voice was rich and generous.
I will remember him as an Ian inspiration.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8)

As I was reading the beautiful and loving obituary to Don, I was struck by how both Rosemary and Alison share so many of Don's extraordinary qualities.
What I loved about Don was his wry sense of humour and the twinkle in his eye that went with it. Add to the mix that wonderful Welsh accent and I would be in heaven.
I so admired his project and woodworking skills. In fact I was rather envious of the projects Don did for Bob and Rosemary. The tomato green house was the best idea. Each item though was uncompromisingly perfect. The Muskoka chairs had each board primed and painted first, then assessmbled. No peeling here.
Most of all though was how Don loved Pam. And Pam Don. They just fit. And to those around, they were so happy.
It was a privilege to have shared a very small portion of my life's journey with Don. And as Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote: ""I am part of all I have met ..." Don will continue on in all the many lives that he touched - great and small.
Pam, Alison and Rod, and Rosemary and Bob you are in my thoughts and prayers.
With much love,
Kath

Dear Pam, Rosemary and Alison,
We have such fond memories of our last visit to Fonthill for Easter. It was neat to see all the furniture that Don had built over the years and to hear his stories. We still have the sweet little box that he gifted to us. He was a very caring and thoughtful person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Lots of love,
Trystan, Vanessa and Benjamin

A very wise and learned friend to those who crossed his life...I am so fortunate to be one of them. Don and Pam were special friends to my Mom, Marion, where she used have tea with them at the Knight home in Fonthill; and it was always special to meet them at Tim Hortons or other places like church or the hardware store (always on a mission of joy) with a hearty hello and a genuine interest in our wellbeing. Godspeed Don!
Our deepest sympathies to Pam, Alison and Rosemary.
