I am not sure why I have just found this out! I have heartbroken. Sharon and Ed, I can not imagine what you are going through. Kim, although you and I have never meet, I have know Chad from the day he was born. I spent many hours at his home visiting with his Mom. Unfortunately, life gets in the way and the one or twice a week visits turn into one a month. They get fewer and fewer. I am sorry I was not there to help support then but I am now. Call me! I will drive to Springfield and bring coffee. I am very sorry for you loss.

Being so far away, we never got to meet Chad in person, but loved getting to know him through his funny, loving and compassionate Facebook presence. In every photo of him, he was smiling, looking happy and surrounded by people pleased to be in his company. He clearly brought joy to those around him, and I know how much love he brought to Kim and her family. His loss is a huge one for the whole community, and my heart aches for their loss. May his light shine down on all of us and heal our hearts. Love Heather and Isabelle

I met Chad last year at a Bishop's dinner and was immediately impressed by his discipleship and passion for his ministry. He was fully engaged with his parishioners and seemed to have such a positive way of approaching the various challenges that the Anglican church faces these days. I met him again on September 26th at the Bishop's Friends Dinner in Meaford and he had the same friendly, open manner. I feel blessed to have seen him one more time.
I mean it when I say that he has left a space, that only he could fill. Chad will be missed and remembered always.
May God bless you,

How sorry Allan and I were to learn of "Chad's" Rev. Honeyman's tragic death. This is so sad. I came to know him as a result of my time doing Day Chaplaincy at both the Hanover hospital, and Walkerton hospital. My husband and I visited in his home, and he in our home.
Chad had a passion to reach people outside of the church, & saw the need to motivate people in the church to do the same. He knew approaches to do so needed to change, both in and outside of the church, in order to share the gospel message in a relevant way. His passion is one that I share. He also did his best to nurture people within the church, to direct then in God's ways, to help them grow, and mature in their faith. He will be missed.
Kim, you, your parents, and Chad's parents have our sympathy. May God surround all of you with His love and may He give you the strength in the days ahead, as you deal with his death. You are loved.

I first met Chad when he agreed to assist with our judging at the Bluewater Regional Science Fair and he became an important member of our judging team for many years. It was a pleasure to get to know him over that time and we had many great discussions about students and learning and so much more. He became more than a judge, he was a friend. I unexpectedly met him this summer in Sauble Beach and as we chatted I learned about his efforts in the Literacy program in the Peninsula.
To all the family, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great member of his community and the spirit of his kindness and compassion will live on. He will be greatly missed by all.

My husband, Ken had the pleasure of meeting Chad and his dad Ed when Chad had his service changed over and Ken did the inspection.
They got chatting about how they were from Lunenburg etc..So when we visited there we called Ed up and he told us to met him for coffee next day.
Ed took time out of his busy schedule and gave us a great tour as we learned a lot of history there that day.
So sorry for your loss and may God Bless you all in this time of sorrow.

I remember Chad as a faithful member of our Walkerton ministerial association where he was our chair person for a number of years and then as a member of the Anglican deanery of the Saugeens. Our prayers are with Kim, family, friends and parishioners in the Bruce, especially those of St. Emund's, Tobermory whom we have gotten to know fairly well through summer ministry there over the last few years. It was a shock to hear the news of his tragic death, and yet we somehow trust that even in this God works in love to bring good out of the bad. Chad has gone before us into the Lord's presence. And we who believe in the Lord will follow in our own time. Our prayers are with the family, friends and parishioners as they grieve, adjust, and yet go on with hope firmly fixed on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

My heartfelt sympathies to all who are mourning Chad's death. It is a tragedy for which there is no explanation. My prayers are that all who mourn, especially Kim and the family including the church family, can feel the strong loving arms of God holding you tight.
Just recently Chad sent me a knitting pattern for Christmas stockings along with a note of encouragement for my ministry. That small gesture of kindness epitomizes the kind of person and pastor he was. I will miss him.
Much love to all, +Susan Johnson, National Bishop, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada

I'm very sorry for your loss.
I'm new to the parish, and he made me feel welcome. He even went out of his way to visit me at my trailer, to bless my cat's, last St. Francis day. He's a very special person, and I'll miss him.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Kim and Chad's families and friends. I met Chad at WLS as a fellow student and although Chad and I didn't get to know each other very well, I'll always remember his wonderful smile, positive outlook and genuine concern for people - and always a gentleman in the true sense. I have no doubt that Chad's parishioners felt the presence of God's love through that same compassion and ability to enjoy life that he could share with anyone. After Chad graduated, we became 'friends' on FB, and one could tell from posts and pictures that Kim's love so enriched his life and he was truly grateful for every blessing bestowed upon him. Our hearts may be heavy for a time, but faith in a better place gives us hope - hope that I know Chad shared. To all those who knew Chad and continue to hold him in your heart, may fond memories give you comfort and peace.

Sending caring condolences, thoughts & prayers to all of you on the tragic loss of a special man in all of your lives.
We fondly remember Rev.Chad from the many ecumenical services that the 7 churches in Walkerton would participate in our faith community. May you find strength, comfort and peace knowing that Rev. Chad made a difference in the many people whom he touched in his ministry.
May God grant him eternal rest and let His perpetual light shine upon him.
God bless you all.

Dear Kim, I am so sorry for your loss. Chad was a very special person with many gifts. He and I were in the same CPE unit in Cambridge Memorial Hospital. I remember his gift of story telling. He could take a piece of scripture and put you right in the centre of it.
I am not able to attend the funeral because I am a priest in Nipigon along the North Shore of Superior. However I will be with you in spirit and I have been praying for you and your family.
May God surround you with his peace.

I am very saddened and shocked to hear of Pastor Chad’s passing. He was such a caring and wonderful man. He was always available for a chat or to get together to talk over coffee.
When I first joined the military and was home for a visit, Pastor Chad took me out to the shooting range. I will cherish that memory.
My Nannie (Irene Weber) always said she liked Pastor Chad’s legs when he wore shorts. A funny memory.
My deepest sympathies to his lovely wife Kim and to his parents. You are all in my thoughts.

Chad was one of the most amazing, spirited, faith-filled mentors that I have had in my journey to ordination in the Anglican church. I am saddened beyond measure that I didn't have the chance to tell him that I will be ordained in a months time. He was one of my biggest cheerleaders, one who offered a great many ideas and topics for discussion. His zest for life and love of Our Lord will be so sorely missed. Rest in Peace my friend, you will be remembered fondly.

To Chad's wife, mom & dad, friends, and parishers I was so very saddened and shocked to hear this tragic news. My heart breaks for his loving wife and mom and dad.
I'm from Lunenburg and attended the same church as Chad. I knew he wanted to become a Pastor from his high school years. One of our previous Pastors ( Pastor Doug Moore) took him under his wing and began to groom him for his future a a Pastor.
It's many a few years since I had seen Chad, I have many memories of him from our weekly Sunday services but one event sticks in my memory very fondly. We were going house to house at Christmas time singing Christmas carols to our parishers and everyone of them he made them feel special and ending with a prayer.
God Bless,
May you find peace in your heart and loving memories of a wonderful man.
Love,
Deanna Zinck
