My deepest sympathy to Sharon and the rest of Doug's family. Doug was one of my residents for a few years in Vision Rest Home. I always enjoyed talking with him. He was such a kind and gentle man. A artist and a Bridge player. When he first came to live with us I couldn't believe his age. He would go out and play Bridge and we would make his cheese and onion sandwich to take with him. I always wondered what his bridge partners thought about onion sandwiches. Our girls have at least one of Doug's cat pictures. I always called this his cat phase. I was just looking at mine recently as I wanted to get it framed. I retired last month and a couple days before my party he asked me what time my due was. I tried to ignore it as it was suppose to be a surprise party so I said I don't know what you are talking about. Doug fell on the day of my party so I was sad when I came in and heard about it. His tablemate Betty Lea also sends her condolences. She said they always had interesting conversations. I'm glad that Doug was part of my life for this time. We at Vision Rest Home will miss him very much
