Obituary of Bill Wood

WOOD, William John 'Bill' peacefully with family by his side at Chapman House Residential Hospice early Tuesday morning March 26, 2019.  Bill Wood of Lion's Head in his 82nd year.  Beloved husband and best friend of Ginny for 52 years.  Missed by goddaughter Peggy Fox as well as many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents Irma (Lyle) and Donald Wood, step-mother Bess, brothers-in-law Everton Smith and Doug Smith and sister-in-law Joanne Robinson.

Bill and Ginny spent many years cruising the North Channel on their powerboat.  They were also dedicated Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Search and Rescue.  Bill built a marine rescue operations simulator used for many years by the Coast Guard.

The funeral service will be conducted from the Lion's Head United Church on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.  Rev.
