Brent, Gail and Daphne: My condolence note of last night seems to have disappeared into the ozone. I'm sorry about that. I wrote you a note as soon as Bill called and told me of Aunt Nan's passing. I loved Aunt Nan, she was a second mother to me. I had such wonderful times with her, Allan and all of you on the Peninsula. Those times contributed so much to making me who I am today. I'm so sorry I can't be there for this important time. I've had a bad fall and have broken ribs and vertebrae. I so much wish I could be there with you . Know that I am with you in thought, prayers and spirit during this difficult time.
But, I know my Aunt Nan, she is smiling down on all of us.

Gail, Brent and Daphne: Our family has many fond memories of both your Mom and Dad as wonderful neighbours in Ferndale. Every spring in particular we enjoyed the beautiful flower beds she worked so diligently to maintain. We were blessed to have known her all these years. Wishing you comfort in your loss.

Gail, Brent, Daphne and Becky,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Verna was a wonderful, loving and very giving person. Her wisdom will be lost to everyone. I will always recall her saying, "There is a good reason for everyting that happens to you in life". Something I, Allan and Kody have kept in our minds and always will. We will truly miss her and all she was to everyone.
