Obituary of Jim Edward Lombard

Jim passed suddenly while enjoying vacation time in beautiful Matlacha, Florida.  Jim is survived by his loving wife Sharon and daughter Darci, brother Paul (Paulette) from Boiling Springs, North Carolina, sister Nancy (Tom Kubiszyn) from Austin, Texas, sister-in-law Dolores (Carl Dux) of Cheektowaga, NY and predeceased by brother-in-law Curtis Corbetta (Myron Albro) of Miller Lake.  Jim was also uncle to seven nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces, nephews and cousins.  Born in Buffalo, NY, Jim attended the University of Buffalo, graduating with a Bachelor of Science.  He taught high school math for several years before moving to Miller Lake in 1971 to help his wife Sharon and in-laws operate the family business, Summer House Park.  Jim dedicated over forty years of his life as owner and operator of Summer House Park, building a vibrant business and vacation destination for generations of families.  Jim loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed kayaking and biking.  He was an avid traveller and loved to explore the many parks, trails and waterways in both the United States and Canada.  He thoroughly enjoyed his vacation time in the winter months RVing with Sharon between Florida and Arizona.  Jim always greeted people with a smile and has fostered many beautiful friendships throughout his life.  He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and the many customers of Summer House Park.  A celebration of life will take place at Summer House Park on Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 1:30 p.m.  Donations in Jim's memory made to the Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
