Obituary of Ken Govier

GOVIER, Kenneth Ernest peacefully at  Chapman House, Owen Sound Wednesday August 19, 2020. Ken Govier of Owen Sound and formerly of Barrow Bay in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Katie Govier (nee Greig) (2019). Cherished father of Perry (Heather) of Kitchener, Margie Northcotte (Dereck) of Shallow Lake and Jim (Kimberley) of Elmira. Loving grandfather of Sara (Rick), Brian (Jen), Koreen (Jeremy), Tim, Devin (Lisa), and Danielle and great grandfather of Dameon, Catrina, Tristan, Mattias, Shamus, Tessa and Clara. Dear brother of Harold Govier (Joan) of Owen Sound. Predeceased by parents Ellen (nee Poutney) and George Govier, siblings Carl (Mary), Alfred (Lois), Phyllis Pegg (Russ), baby Harry, Lloyd (Colleen), Marjorie Govier, Robert (Audrey), Dorothy Chornaby (Bob), brothers-in-law Bruce, Melvin (Nellie), Frank (Iris), and Jim (Jennie) and sisters-in-law Janet Bridge (Ivor), Evelyn Hardman (Oliver) and Florence Lemcke (Ivan).  A graveside service will be conducted at Eastnor Cemetery, Lion's Head on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m..  In accordance with Covid-19 regulations, all those attending are required to wear a mask and practise social distancing.
