Our sincere condolences on Mac’s untimely passing. We met Mac in 1977 fishing on the Oxenden dock. We enjoyed his enthusiasm, his friendliness and positive rapport with the adults on the dock. At that time he was interested in getting the latest lures that would enable him to catch splake. In much later years he helped many families in the area - use oh hi-hoe to retrieve decks/docks that has been washed out into the bay. His care for his animal’s was evident when he was called last summer to retrieve a new born calf which had wandered onto our neighbour’s property. He was quick to respond and bring the calf back to its mother. We had hoped that he would run for council again as he had a good handle on the needs and wants of our community. Years ago we met Mac when visiting Stu Paterson in Wiarton.

My condolences to all Mac's family and friends. I have such good memories growing up down the road from Mac, road hockey waiting for the bus, baseball amongst the cow patties. He was a good friend to this 110 lb skinny kid in grade 9. Nobody would mess with you if Mac was there.
Was good to see him at my father's funeral. He'll be missed.

Margie, we are so very sorry to hear of Mac's passing.
We appreciated Mac's friendship when we were neighbours. He was a good neighbour
to us many times when through his own good will we would find our drive-way cleaned after
a snow storm. Even just moving the banks back out at the road . Many times he saved
Gord from a lot of shoveling after an already long days work.
I remember our chats on occasion when he was cutting hay in the field by our house and he'd
stop for a chat when I was hanging out the laundry.

To Macs Family, We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Mac’s passing. Mac Was a man who always made time to talk to people no matter how busy he was.
