I’m so saddened by the news of my fellow nurse Jason passing away. Jason was a compassionate, caring, kind soul at Gateway. The staff and residents greatly miss him, and will remember Jason forever as a fantastic nurse who went above and beyond for his team and residents. May you fly high, and watch over all of us.
Miss you

I was very saddened to hear of Jason's passing. Jason was someone you always enjoyed seeing. His dry sense of humour, his grin and quick smile is one I will remember fondly. He loved his family and especially being a Dad!
My sincere condolences to his family and friends. The world has lost a very special man but his kind essence will always be remembered.

Dear Jason
You are gone way to soon and will forever be missed and never forgotten.
I remember our kids getting together at the Wiarten Fall fair. we all had so much fun. You were a fun guy to be around and the most amazing father I have ever met. Your children were your whole world. You were dedicated and extremely loving to them, kind and caring and a great listener and that smile and sense of humour of yours I will never forget
RIP Jason

RIP Jason. I will always be so grateful for the wonderful and compassionate care you gave to my mom at Gateway. I am also very grateful to have known you as a co-worker and will forever treasure memories of our little chats and laughs (one of which was about the cute and colourful hat you were wearing one day - you proudly told me "it's my kid's....I thought I needed something to brighten me up today"). Mostly, I will remember you leaving the building for what would become your last time - you were really tired, having worked a very long shift, but also cheerful as you reflected on the fact that you had only one more shift before a period of 3 days off. And then off you went, swinging that lunch box of yours in the way that you always did. Jason, you were one of the good guys - perhaps too good for this crazy world of ours. I send my deepest sympathies to your family, most especially your children. May they always know how much you loved them, how much you were loved by those around you and forever feel your loving presence in their lives.

Jason:
You left this world too soon; but you will never be forgotten. Your kind demeanor and compassion for your residents did not go unnoticed - you were a very caring nurse, and a dedicated and loving father to your children. We had some good chats about raising kids, and I was more than happy to give you my free, usually unsolicited parenting advice. I appreciated our shared love of a lot of the same music. Bursting into a duet with you while getting through lots of mundane filing added some fun and laughs to my day. I'll miss you, rest in peace.

Jay, I always adored the caring way you had with the residents and all your work friends at Gateway.
My last memory of you was at the Wiarton skate park, scootering with your little kids. You took a turn after them and you had a big smile on your face as you were watching them smiling at you when you went flying down the ramp. I'm sure that was just one of many loving memories your children will keep in their hearts. Rest easy Jay!

Jay , it was pleasure to start my nursing career with you. Your care for your resident was full of compassion and kindness. We shared lots of laughs, both inside and outside of work. I know you secretly loved the country music I’d play in your office. You were an ear to listen when I had some hard times.
You will be deeply missed by your children (they were your whole world), family, friends, coworkers, and resident.
I hope you at peace and we get meet again some day.
