Our sympathies from the Western Canada Ahrens/Holler relatives. Fond memories of Howard and Jean visiting the Saskatchewan relatives on their way to Alberta. They always brought pails of maple syrup which was such a welcome gift. We visited with Jean on our trips to Ontario to visit family in the last few years. Jean was welcoming, a source of family history and made the best lemon meringue pie. We loved her chuckle and I am so grateful that I had a wonderful phone conversation with her only a few weeks ago. What a special woman.

My first meeting with Jean goes back to high school days when spent the weekend at the farm being a school friend of Angie and was treated royally. What a great Mom she was. Then in later life those butter tarts of hers. Heaven has gained one great lady. Keep her memories alive.

Dear Crow family,
So very sad to hear of Jean's passing. Please accept our sincere sympathy.
Such a lovely lady. I hold great admiration for her and have fond memories of her from childhood to now. Jean would enter a room with a little tilt to her head and that soft warm smile. Genuine pleasure would shine in her eyes and her gentle chuckle made others grin.
Jean was an unassuming woman who took little credit for her own accomplishments, but took great pride in all of yours. She was always pleased to share details on the achievements of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jean made consistent contributions to community, through her life-long association with the Adamsville W.I. and the friendships she cultivated. Quilting bees, card parties, bake sales; Jean would be found at all the events that evolved around the little red school house on Bruce Road 9. I consider Jean Crow to have been one of the mainstays of Adamsville.
Jean's sharp memory and penchant for detail, must have piqued her sincere interest in hearing and sharing the stories of others and made her a natural historian. Jean was the curator of the Tweedsmuir History book for Adamsville, and she maintained a faithful record of our small hamlet. She shared her book with me several years ago and it was an impressive collection. I am grateful her body of work is available "on-line" for future reference.
What a wonderful gift it has been to know her!
Sharing and thinking of all of you

My heartfelt thoughts thoughts to the Crow families- Jean was an inspiration to anyone who crossed her path. Her love of family was one to be admired. Most of us will never accomplish what Jean has in her life time. For myself many great talks with her when she was a resident at Wiarton Retirement Residence- accepting that living there was taking in her stride.I will cherish those times that I spent with her-

We had a great visit with Jean in February of 2020. She was a wonderful fount of family history for us - on both the Cameron and McIver sides (which brings in the McLay, of course!). Her knowledge is gone but the memory of her soft voice and lovely smile will remain with us.
She is the last of her generation of the Camerons who remained on the peninsula. A great loss to her family and extended family.
Our sincere sympathy.

To you all, please accept Janice and I's deepest condolences on the passing of your mom.
I have a life time of pleasant memories growing up together with you all.
I can not remember a single occasion when your dear mother wore a frown on her face, even thou I alone, gave her many an opportunity to do so. Jean had a unique personally like no one else I've ever known.
Her compassion, understanding and tolerance of others, her inner beauty shone through in her face, her words, her community serve for others.
Your Mother was one of the pillars of the Adamsville community.
Check out Proverbs 31:10-31, I believe this describes you mom very closely.
Jean Crow, an example of a life well lived.
