I will miss Alex, and think of him often ~ especially Halloween. He was a great friend, neighbour, and big brother. This little man was the center of his community, and conversed often like a young adult. 'Hey Stokes Bay" ...til we meet again.

He touched my Heart. He was a wonderful young fellow. He was a wonderful soul. He had lost most of his sight due to health issues. But was always positive chippera d caring my Heart breaks for his family. I am greatful to have known this young man who touched more lives in a positive way than most do in 80 years.

There is very little doubt that Alex leaves a strong memory for all who had the privilege to know him. As his principal (and friend) it is devastating to think we have lost him. Yet, the beautiful memories of this “little man” shine on in his brother’s eyes, his mom’s kindness, his dad’s work ethic and his little sister’s spirit. Mr. Kinch and I will sorely miss the little helper who was always there with a smile. The whole Peninsula family at BPDS and, in fact, the whole community will miss this beautiful boy. Until we meet again Alex. So much love as we help support your family :)

A bright shining light has left Stokes Bay. I am absolutely devastated by the loss of Alex. Although I did not see him often, when I did, I found him to be kind, sharing, thoughtful, helpful, intelligent, and witty. He happily persevered in the face of difficulties over the last few years that very few have had to endure.
His smile lit up a room whenever he entered and the twinkle in his eyes just made me smile whenever I saw with him.
I know that going forward, I will always feel a warm glow in my heart each time I think of him and that will be very often, because he was such a special person.
Every individual who met Alex is a better person for having had that opportunity.
