We were so very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. You were the first people to greet us as neighbours when we moved to Pike Bay and Ken was always engaging and congenial whenever we met. His family can be proud of his military service and dedication to the Legion. He was a fine man and we extend our heartfelt condolences to Jean and the family.

My mom and Jean were friends growing up in Clifford. When we bought our cottage at Pike Bay we found out our new neighbours were Ken and Jean. While mom and Jean visited I got to hear Ken's stories! Being a history student of WWII what a pleasure. Ken had a great wit, told great stories and had such a remarkable way of making you feel so welcome in their home. We have great memories as I am sure the Diebel family does as well. Treasure those and may they provide you peace and comfort. Ken you will be remembered. Thank you for your service and for sharing it with me. Een ware held voor de Nederlanders!
