We were so sad to hear of Harold's passing. Harold was a special part of our family as my best friend growing up and then he took a liking to you, my beautiful sister and became my brother in law. We have had many wonderful times together during the years. His humor alone could keep you laughing until you cried. There was never a dull moment with him around.
Wish with all our hearts we could be there with you but due to circumstances beyond our control we cannot be there, our thoughts & prayers are there with you.

Memories of a very loving family roll in as we attempt to say goodbye to Harold, a man who knew how to tell a great yarn and whose ever present smile, hearty laugh, and engaging personality endeared him to so many people. Marie, you and Harold, always modelled a welcoming home, one that was always open to family and friends for planned or unplanned visits. We so enjoyed the time we spent together at our home in St. John’s. That visit was unexpectedly lengthened, with Harold’s heart attack, but during that time, the both of you became such an important part of our family. Then when we moved to Ontario, our visits, especially in the first few years, helped us as we adjusted to our new life. We loved getting to know Rod and Rich (and yes, even Reno), who, like their parents, welcomed us with open arms. We love all of you and know that our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Harold was a big part of our Home Hardware team and was with us for many years --and this was after he had retired --always added humor to the day and liked by all--customers and co-workers. He also brought some east coast culture in the way of Guy Fawkes celebrations which are still carried on each November. He will be missed. Our condolenses to Marie and family
