Obituary of Geoffrey Hackett

HACKETT, Francis Geoffrey … 'It pains me to admit it, but apparently, I have passed away. Everyone told me it would be due to a mis-adventure, but you know me, I can't follow any rules'.  

Geoff Hackett of Tobermory and Lambton Shores passed away suddenly at his Tobermory residence on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Mae Hackett (nee Kerr) for 64 years. Cherished father of Toby Sansom and her husband Richard of Camlachie, Shane (pre 2012) (Sheila Lampard of Brigden), Tracy Rogers and her husband Doug of Lambton Shores and Jennifer Hackett and her partner Murray Dietz of London. Much loved grandfather of Courtnee (Brad), Owen (Nicole), Jordon (Ashleigh), Nicholas (Alyssa) and Hayley and great grandfather of Isobel and Odie. Dear brother of Patricia Hackett (Pierre) and Pamela Payne (Bruce). Lovingly remembered by the Kerr family and missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by parents Edith (nee Goldfinch) and Kenneth Hackett, sister Paula Giddings (Larry) and brothers Phillip and Kenneth. Loved by many dogs.  A huge thank you to the medical teams that provided exceptional care to Geoff.

Private family arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION'S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion's Head.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with memories shared at 6:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will also be held in Tobermory.  Details will be announced once available.
