Val and I are sorry to hear he is no longer with us. I knew John as a classmate at McMaster University in the 70's, and we reconnected by chance when I saw his name on their mailbox near Big Bay about 8 years ago where he and Vera retired. Since then we (John Harker, George Warden and I) enjoyed many rounds of golf with John at the Wiarton Golf Club. He always liked to play a yellow ball on #9, for luck. My last round with him was mid August and he had a stellar game, great to see him do so well but never expected it would be his last. To Vera and family, please accept our condolences, He will be missed.
