Growing up Roy showed his interest in helping others, loving animals, especially Labs, and a gentleness that seems to be a rare commodity and He never changed! He will be missed by all who knew him. My deepest, sincere sympathy to all the family, especially, Susan, Kate and Phillip. May he rest in peace.

Kate, Philip, Susan and families you have said goodbye to a quiet, caring, gentle brother. My memories are from high school times in Chesley. Roy was the teasing older brother everyone needs to the caring son who kept his mom happy in her home for many years. We watched him complete his painting apprenticeship on the big old Doubt home in Chesley. Paint and ladders everywhere! May his consideration for all pass generously to his nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered.

Roy and “Nana” Eastwood were cherished neighbours for many years. He took such pride in his flowerbeds and loved giving our kids a tour of the new blooms.
When he moved into Wiarton, we kept in touch. He never missed a birthday wish or happening on Facebook.
Rest in peace Roy, hope Magic was waiting for you.

Our next door neighbours Roy, 'Nana', and Magic were such important people in my childhood. I have so many memories with Roy. Among them, gardening, crafting, going for ice cream at Big Bay, tagging along on odd jobs, and walking Magic. I remember playing cards with Roy before my hands were big enough to hold them. He would turn a shoebox on it's side for me to hide them behind. Roy was incredibly kind to me. He will be missed.
A couple of months ago, Roy passed this sketch along to me. Many of you will recognize it as being one of his mom's. It's hanging in our kitchen now and I think of both of them each time I see it.

Oh Brianna, sooo many memories over the years since you were a young girl...I remember you and Devon at Moms piano, playing some sort of tune. And yes, the card games, and of course our beloved Magic...Roy’s shadow lol.
Much appreciation to you and your Mom for being such wonderful friends and neighbors.

I used to babysit the ‘Eastwood kids’ way back in the mid 50’s. Loved to go there, as they were one of the first families in Tara to have a TV set! They lived two doors down and across the road. (Across from the cenotaph). My sympathy to you on Roy’s passing.
